I grew up amongst the cornfields of Central Illinois. Most of my childhood was spent riding my horse, getting into mud fights and going to church. I didn't like church but I loved the singing.
Taking my love of music with me, I left Illinois in my early twenties and traveled in Central America and Europe for many years. The music I discovered during my travels was like an epic and ever-changing soundtrack. Thrilled and overwhelmed, I found out just how sheltered I'd been. During this time, I sang and studied music every chance I got.
I've lived in New York City for seven years. I'm happy here.
In addition to my music, I write books, moonlight as an antique dealer/rug merchant and am launching into my own design business.
